Details: The Youth Winter Hitting program is the same program as we have always had with an hour of hitting with our coaches to start and finish with an hour of strength training. As we get deeper into the winter and into the spring we aim to put the athlete at peak performance for theirl season. RJ and his staff have been providing the best combination of baseball mechanics and strength for many years in southeastern Wisconsin.
Some things that the Hitters Baseball Academy staff covers throughout the winter
1. Swing plane and how to properly use the tee to maximize your ability to coach yourself.
2. Stride and Separation with hands and front foot to create some rhythm in your swing.
3. Vision and how to use your front side to track the baseball to the hitting zone.
4. Breaking ball hitting
5. Working on slowing the ball down mentally
6. How to properly gain speed baseball funtionality
7. To realize the importance of taking care of your body and staying in shape so you can be at your best mentally throughout the season.
Focus 1
The Athletic Power Development (APD) component will build functional strength for greater sport performance through a neuromuscular training philosophy based on training movement, not muscle. APD is about building athletic movement, linked system strength, power, transitional balance, neuromuscular coordination, mind-muscle integration, and sequential muscle firing from the inside out. Coaches will identify and train up weak links in the kinetic chain, build core stability & strength, increase joint mobility & stability, and build full-body integrated strength.
Focus 2
The Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) component focuses on three of the most important physical components for athleticism. Bradys SAQ program will teach you how to move more efficiently through postural correction, biomechanical analysis and movement skill patterning. Once a foundation of movement is built athletes will focus on increasing their first step quickness, deceleration, explosive speed, reactivity and multi-directional movement skills. Become a quicker, faster and more reactive athlete with Bradys SAQ training methods.
